![]() If I could change the beat then I would probably just edit that, but I cant, because I dont know what the bpm is. ![]() I still have to balance the different stems which I cant do because I cant find the correct bpm for my track. It is not 96 bpm even though I upped the bpm by 3. I have to change the sub etc, and I am never able to do it now because I dont have the exact bpm on my beat. I thought oh yeah I need to change the bpm to the right thing, and changed it to 93 bpm, which probably made it 96 bpm. Inserted my beat which says name_93, which the last is bpm. I probably changed the default 120 bpm to 90 bpm. Next time open reaper, change bpm to whatever bpm your "beat" is, then import it (or drag it in, whatever) and make sure you dont have some weird stretch thing on.ĭoes what you did sound fine except it's not at the "right" bpm? I mean, If you didnt notive it was the wrong BPM when you were recording vocals, then it must have sounded pretty OK? wheres the original beat? Did you not save the project in FL? Is it possible to revert it together with all my recordings, or am I screwed and have to redo everything? I dont want the new rate I want the original. It says rate: 1:033, so I have apparently stretched it. I dont know how to insert pictures here but you can see here: Or maybe re-export the original item from FL Studio?įor some reason I probably inserted my beat then I changed the bpm to fit the melody, and somehow maybe got it stretched? Probably the easiest is to stretch/shrink something back to match the other thing. (Do this in Project Settings for the whole Reaper project, or "Item properties" for the specific media item.)Īs for how you get out of it, you have several options. This prevents thngs from stretching or shrinking. ![]() If you change the BPM then media items will stretch or shirnk to stay in line unless you change the timebase for the project or the media item to "Time". When you imported your FL Studio stem into Reaper, did you change the Reaper BPM setting AFTER you did that? If so, you have probably stretched or shrunk the FL Studio originated media item by accident.īoth Reaper Projects as a whole, and individual media items, have a "timebase". I don't know what's gone wrong here as Reaper seems accurate when I do it, but it might have been that you have inadvertently time-stretched (or shrunk) something when you added it to Reaper.
